Thank you all for your continued support and the generous donations we have received so far from different individuals. Daily we are managing to reach and serve many families in the slums with food packs, sanitary towels, hand sanitizers, diapers for the newly born, hand wash stations, soap and other essentials. Together we are making an incredible impact.
Yesterday the government extended the lock down for another 21 days. Long rains are here, many families are cold and hungry and houses are flooded. We fear outbreaks of malaria and cholera, in addition to the daily rise in numbers of those being infected by COVID-19. We must continue working hard to serve our communities. There is still much to be done!
The government will be starting to test all truck drivers passing through Mlolongo, there has been fears of high rates of this deadly virus infections here, people are panicking, we hope that this situation will be controlled.
We intend to continue the food and basic supplies distribution for the next 3 months, therefore we continue to request for support.
